Burnout contest problem
04/30/09 at 00:18:00

Please help me brainstorm and possibly pool resources to figure how to pull of the burnout contest again.

I know we can get a slab of steel again from Bemidji steel, however they may charge us for it this year ($250).

Even if we get it, last year was a huge pain in the rear. If you were there, you remember loading it up.

Does anyone know of a trailer that can haul the steel, or a piece of equipment that could move it?
maybe someone that owns a bobcat?

We could use the bobcat to load/unload the steel and then just trailer the bob cat from Bemidji Steel to the auto mall.

Let's hear your ideas on this!

May have a possibility through Austin's work.  One of the guys owns a bobcat and trailer. I'll have Austin run it up the flag pole.

Last year I think we had about 10 guys helping load the sheet of steel and we still had a hell of a time getting it on/off the trailer. We either need a good 25 guys to help, or get a bobcat.

The sheet of steel last year was around 12' x 8' I think.

I got word yesterday that we will be allowed to use the 20' x 8' piece of steel again this year. We just have to figure out how to get it to the show.

I have a snowmobile trailer that could hold it I think. If someone volunteers a truck to haul the trailer we can do it.

I meant to show up to the meeting at Indoor Auto Mall but it was raining and stuff so I just stayed home.

I'd be happy to volunteer my truck to pull it, but lets see if we get a bobcat first.

Tell him to register for the sound system at www.overbeeks.com

That will give him another excuse to help out.

Ok I talked  to my friend at work and he said he can do everything we will need him to do for that day with the cat, he said a flat rate of $100.00 is what he would charge for the day and that will include pickup, drop off, moving, fuel ect ect.
